The brain doesn’t create consciousness

Let me explain

First of all, what is a conscious experience? A conscious experience is the perception of the things that aid in getting a sense of what is happening in and around you. It is the nature of experiencing life and everything within it. It is plausible to say and feel that this perception of everything, is happening in the mind, which we believe is in the brain.

But that’s still a debate about whether a conscious experience is happening in the brain. Most scientists (if not all) believe that the brain is where it is created. Using magnetoencephalography, brain oscillations of a certain number of hertz can be found in the cerebral cortex. Though it is a question that no one really has an answer to, and studies don’t really give an objective answer but only give points to strengthen an already existing opinion, the community is quite tightly knit on the consciousness emerging from the brain.

According to some Harvard scientists, our fundamental conscious experience can be divided into two parts: arousal and awareness. Arousal can be thought of as the part of our experience linked to our physical body. The one that is triggered by the nerve signals coming through the spinal cord. Awareness, on the other hand, is related more to the metaphysical part of our experience, or what we call the mind (using the term loosely).
